I offer my sincerest apologies to everyone on OC.net for my post re: the death of Oral Roberts. It was nasty, innappropriate and over the top (even for me).

I didn't find it offensive, though I do agree that it was a bit much. But then, I of all people know that regretfully sometimes we go too far in what we say. I hope you are well this holiday season.

I often say things I shouldn't (I seem to have to confess that at every confession). May God forgive all of us. I also hope you have a blessed holiday season.

We are never so big as when we stoop to apologize. I hope to follow your good example if ever I offend someone in the future. Shalom/Selam

I forgive you for not thinking through the rhetorical and political consequences. It's never enough to just be right, we must, at times, realize that truth is better served by discression. Though I confess I do not always live up to this ideal...it is hard to deny the truth, even when you know it is for the greater good.

Happy Hannukah. By the way, on that thread on a "priest" who removed a Menorah...that guy is no priest, he's a black robed "Chemerim" (as orthodox Jews would say). Compare that "priest" with the Orthodox patriarch in Albania who is funding a Mosque with the last money his church has, as a sign of goodwill to Muslims. Now that is a good person. The Menorah is a New Testament Christian Symbol: The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches. Revelation 1:20, KJV 1611. Those "candlesticks" are a Menorah. Also Hannukah is mentioned by name directly in the NT as an observed Holiday.

Just a priest behaving badly, thats all. The Hannukah Menorah has nine branches.
