Actually there is a thread about it.

Some compromises are hard to avoid but all in all it can be done

During fasting time two diets need to be balanced, Low Carb High Fat (LCHF) / Weston Price.. and the Fasting rules.

For LCHF you eliminate all sugar and wheat and most grains and vegetable oils and highly refined junk food..

For the fast you eliminate meat, dairy, fish except on occasion, olive oil except on occasion.

What is left: Vegetables, Sweet Potato's or White Potatoes, COFFEE, teas, fruit, coconut oil ( high in fat), fish oil supplements, and Lentin seafood like shrimp, mussels, squid, crab etc.

I have needed to add back in something like brown rice and I eat lots of Yams. I eat figs when I get hungry and if I need more I eat grits ( corn mush) or potentially Oatmeal but I havent needed to just yet.

Compromises should be things not sugar and not Wheat.. So if you need to fall back, rise or Oats is better.

That's plenty, especially if you use coconut oil generously as it gives you enough fat to burn. I make a tea with hot water and a large spoonful of coconut oil. It's greasy and gross but it keeps you from getting too hungry. I also give in to Margarine but I try to get the kind that they jack up with Omega 3's.

And here is how you can beat the Ice Cream Jones.

Heavy Cream.. I go through lots of Heavy Cream. Half and half wont do. If you want an Ice Cream-like desert you can pour Cream over berries. If you need it sweeter use Splenda or Stevia... It's the butter fat you will like.. The sugar is secondary and can be substituted for .

Eat cream and berries or fruit every night and you will be able to break up with Ben and Jerry.

Thanks for listing the various foods during the fast, Marc. Appreciate that.

I've seen no evidence stevia is a carcinogen. It's not an artificial sweetener. That said, people who cut out wheat have increased sensitivity to sweetness and don't need a lot of sweetener (if they want something sweet without sugar--that is the sugar not in whole fruit, which comes with fiber).

If God wants me to be healthy then why does Walmart keep selling me donuts at $1.50 for a half dozen?

I've seen no evidence stevia is a carcinogen. It's not an artificial sweetener.

If you have it straight for the plant, fine. But the stevia you're sold is processed, and the jury is out on how that processing affects the long-term influence of the substance.

Non-sugar sweeteners are also linked to diabetes, as the sweetness triggers the pancreas to produce insulin to deal with sugar that isn't there. (Diabetes is, as well, linked to pancreatic cancer, although the evidence is not conclusive yet.)

Really, the healthiest options are using good honest real sugar - and before I moved to the UK I had no idea how much better cane sugar is to beet sugar; demerara rules! - or going completely unsweetened.

To Splenda or not to Splenda is a big question. Sugar is a clear danger and is ubiquitous. If you need Splenda to break a Sugar habit then I would go for it.But that's just me. So far Splenda and Stevia have not been shown to be carcinogens, but I would agree that they are candidates.

Stevia is the best choice.

Moderation in all things is a good idea IMHO.

In this specific example though, the effect depends on your overall diet.

If you are eating a Low Carb High Fat type diet then the effect of just having a little Ice Cream is rather profound.  Here is why.

Your body can use three things for it's fuel 1. Sugar 2. Alcohol 3. Fat. The theory is that a fat burning metabolism is the most natural. You burn fat that you eat and also ( and here is the good news) and stored fat from your belly, thighs etc.

A fat burning metabolism is referred to as "Ketongenic", you can access your own stored fat and use it as fuel. But to access your own fat stores you must get around the Sugar you have in your system. Your body will opt for the sugar before it will opt for the fat because in a natural setting sweet things were used for quick energy, a boost. Ever notice how young kids who have nice pristine insulin receptors spin like a top when they are given sugar? Your body is not designed to run on sugar as it's primary fuel 24-7.

So if you are in a Ketogenic metabolism and you eat some Ice Cream, you will drop out of Ketosis immediately and it will take about two weeks of strict eating to get you back to fat burning..

If you are already running yourself on a sugar metabolism you will just add something to your insulin load.Sugar also highly inflammatory and is a primary suspect in heart disease..

Here is another really good  You tube by a leading Physician in this field Dr. Stephen Phinny M.D. Phd. as I recall he addresses what happens if you slip and eat birthday cake etc. Not long. Very informative:

Maybe not.....  Stevia made me break out in hives, I had large red welts all over my chest and arms.  I wouldn't touch it again for the world.
