Tell me you weren't in love with Ms. Yakamoto!

Thankfully I was only 3 when the video came out, so I was spared  Grin Tiffany on the other hand...

Just squeaking into the decade in January 1980, it's the Revillos with Motorbike Beat!  Cheesy

They seem to play "Key Largo" every time I go to get a haircut. I don't know why.  Huh

I like "Roam," because I think Kate Pearson's vocals are good.  Smiley

How's about cheesy and creepy!

Dead Or Alive You Spin Me Round

Love it!  Also anything by Gary Numan and most of the stuff by David Bowie.  Also have nearly everything Brian Eno put out.  Close second would be Roxy Music.

"Come On Eileen"- although I'd say Dexy's Midnight Runners wasn't cheesy but awesome.

"(My Angel is a) Centerfold"- The J.Geils Band

And while technically released in '79, the video that started it all- "Video Killed the Radio Star" by the Buggles

One last one, which has warped my perception of women for life, setting up that unattainable ideal- "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" by Cyndi Lauper. You lied to me, Cyndi

Tommy Tutone "867-5309/Jenny"

It's dumb, but it's pretty catchy. Also, that's my stepfather on the drums. You'd think that calling him up every time the video was played on "Pop Up Video" would get old, but it really didn't. (I bet he's glad that show is off the air, though.)

"Too Shy" by Kajagoogoo........maybe

However, I also liked "Jessie' Girl" by Rick Springfield, but mostly because I could empathize with the main character at times growing up.

So many good ones!

I'll add:

"Electric Avenue"- Eddy Grant

"Sister Christian"- Night Ranger

Bob Seger everything (except "Like a Rock" and "Old Time Rock and Roll"... Too overplayed).

And I know this isn't the '80's but I'm still throwing it out there: "Brother Love's Travelling Salvation Show"- Neil Diamond.
