Is there anywhere online that has a service to Elder Joseph the Hesychast in English? If not a complete service, at least troparia and kontakia?

Edit: If anything in English cannot be found, I would like the troparia and kontakia in Greek if they can be found since I can translate them.

If he hasn't been Glorified yet, there is no service; if he has, the service is probably in Greek and hasn't been translated yet.

Since Elder Joseph has not been made a saint, I don't think there are any published services for him. I have heard that some things have been written for him on the Holy Mountain.

Regardless, one could easily "guess" what his Apolytikion will be once published. As an ascetic, it should be in the third mode modeled after the prosomoion for ascetics. For now, just use the one for a similar father, St. Arsenios the Cappadocian, and replace the name:

Βίον ένθεον, καλώς ανύσας, σκεύος τίμιον του Παρακλήτου, ανεδείχθης θεοφόρε Αρσένιε, και των θαυμάτων την χάριν δεξάμενος, πάσι παρέχεις ταχείαν βοήθειαν, πάτερ Όσιε, Χριστόν τον Θεόν ικέτευε, δωρήσασθαι, ημίν το μέγα έλεος.

Thanks. I was just wondering since I have seen services for Fr. Seraphim Rose and Elder Ieronymos of Aegina (who aren't canonized) out there so I was hoping to find something for Elder Joseph as well.

It is common enough to find services for those holy people who have not yet been officially glorified by the Church. These, however, are more like drafts. When and if the person is glorified, the local church would usually publish an official service, which may not be anything like what had been written before. As Elder Joseph has not yet been officially glorified (though it might be good to check on this--I've heard rumors), one can always do a memorial service for him. As well, one can ask privately for his prayers.

If you spend long enough on this forum, you'll come away with all sorts of weird, untrue ideas of Orthodox Christianity.

I would suggest most persons in general avoid any question beginning with why.
