Could I impose on my friends and family here on any information on St. Isaac the Syrian (of Nineveh)?  Any good books or websites that contain a significant amount of his works would be greatly appreciated.  A million thanks, y'all!  Smiley

This is definitely the single best thing to get. The book is nothing more than extended quotes from St. Isaac, all of which Archbishop Hilarion places in their proper context. Probably half of the book is taken up with Isaac's words, so you get a very good overview of all of his writings, as well as explanation.

I have to look at the syllabus of the Saint Stephen course. I'm no longer in it, but I recall a book that one has to read. If I find it I'll post it.

I see that Eighth Day Books has most of these books on Saint Isaac

http://eighthdaybooks.com

The Daily Readings is only $7.   I have bought books from these people and they are very nice to deal with.
