Tuesday, December 1, will be the sixth anniversary of the repose of our friend and brother, John Royce. Long-time forumites will remember John, who posted here as ' Hypo-Ortho and at ByzCath as Orthodox East.
John was 63 when he died suddenly, having been ill for only a short time. He passed away at his computer reading the forums, which he so enjoyed and where we enjoyed his posts.
As has been said many times, John was a gentleman and loved both his Faith and his Church. As many of us prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving, everyone please give thanks to God for the time that John spent among us.
O Lord, You took from this world the soul of our friend and brother, Your servant John, leading him to rest in a place of light, happiness, and peace, where there is neither pain nor suffering, neither grief nor sighing.
Prayers that Christine and all of John's family are comforted on this anniversary by happy memories of John and the belief that he is with his God.
May his memory be eternal.

May he rest in Light Perpetual..
It's hard to believe it's been six years since his passing. I remember him with great warmth. He was a gentleman.
