My wife and I converted to Orthodoxy some 5 years ago. Prior to our conversion, I was Roman Catholic and she was a fundamentalist Protestant. We have one daughter, who is four. (Four and a half, as she'd be quick to point out.) We were chrismated before my daughter was born, and our daughter was baptised and chrismated a little over 4 years ago.
Earlier this spring, my wife reverted to the fundamentalist church she grew up in. I told her that I could not stop her from doing so, but that I could not allow our daughter to attend that church. In September, at my wife's request, we separated. She has now insisted on taking my daughter to church with her on alternating Sundays. This is over my opposition, but, legally, there is nothing I can do to stop this.
Please pray for all involved, and please especially pray that my daughter will not be drawn away from the Orthodox faith. Pray for my soul as well, as I am dealing with a lot of anger and despair.
