For Academic Endeavors and Family Stresses
« on: November 16, 2009, 04:12:06 AM »
Over the next three weeks, I have an overwhelming amount of papers to write (a combined total of around 70 pages), tests (105) and essays (105) to grade for my job, as well as my usual teaching responsibilities.

My wife is due with our first child in a mere three weeks, so everything is very much down to the wire.  She is taking three graduate classes at night (9 hours) while also working a full-time job, trying to complete her graduate degree before delivering.

We are very stressed.  Please pray for us!

Wow. I must take a minute to be amazed at your dedication (not to mention your wife's) before I get to praying. Wow.  :)

Now, God have mercy upon you!

Thanks for your prayers.  Things are moving along well enough.  The wife is progressively getting more and more uncomfortable, even though the due date is still a little over a week away.  She is just ready for that baby to come out.

She's gotten the vast majority of her graduate work done; just a few short papers left to write.  I am about half-way done, still having around 40-45 pages left to write collectively, as well as the aforementioned essays left to grade (once they are completed by the students in about a week).

I managed to get through the most stressful paper (25 pages) without too much blood loss, although it did take an ungodly amount of cigarettes and Mountain Dew to make it happen.

The finish line still seems a ways off, but thank you for your prayers!  Things are getting done gradually.
