This is an ancient folk song, which was collected, written down and preserved before the Genocide, by a beloved Armenian priest and musicologist, Gomidas Vartabed:

One hears this melody often, but never have I heard it sung so beautifully as it is by Isabel Bayrakdarian in the above video.  I think this was taken from a DVD she did, called "A Long Journey Home."
