I stopped playing Castile and made a new dynasty/rule in Munster Ireland that was Irish but Orthodox. Within the life of the first ruler, I've almost taken all of Ireland and most of it is already converted (in fact it was only one Bishop who has converted all of it.)

I wonder if I can demand autocephaly from the EP at some point.

I actually think it'd be fun if you could play as the Pope, the EP or another bishop or religious figure.

Actually you can play the Pope. You just have to conquer the Papal States for your heir (in Casus Belli list) . I did it with Sicily, early game (I hired mercenaries)
I was the Pope. It's quite annoying, every 10 sec you have to give indulgences  Cheesy .

My first Duke died, now to the son. I've conquered 75% of Ireland and am just waiting on enough piety to create the Kingdom of Ireland.

The cool part, is that even the son has kept the same court chaplain, Bishop Murchad of Killaloe, who has converted almost the entire island to Orthodoxy. Or should I say reconverted.

I had also married my sister off to King William of England (The Conqueror) but he almost immediately lost a huge war against the smaller Celtic groups (including Scotland). Now he is basically just the King of some of the reconquered Holy Lands that they got in the last crusade.

Just created the Kingdom of Ireland, we are now the Patriarchate of Ireland.

Somehow the Patriarchate of Georgia lost its Autocephaly, and the Russians now have their own Patriarch. (interestingly, Ukraine is still EP, but what is now Russia is "Patriarchate of Rus")

Good !

I wish they put more religious actions related to Patriarchs. But the improvement in Orthodoxy system brought by Legacy of Rome is great though. Cheesy

I thought the first half of Dawnguard was really disappointing so I stopped playing it for like three months. This weekend I finished it. Wow. It really got exciting during the second half, from the Soul Cairn to the new one-hit-kill shout to the Forgotten Vale with its Frost Giants and Dragon lake attack and fighting frozen Falmer. Very solid DLC. And that's without any of the vampire/werewolf stuff I haven't (and probably won't) tried.

Skyrim has DLC? I haven't had Live for like three years so I wouldn't know.

I don't have Live either, but you can download stuff without it so long as you have an internet connection and Microsoft points.

Just 40 minutes until Halo 4 is released (in this time zone)!

I'm definitely not driving 30 minutes just to stand in line at midnight though. I'll go pick my pre-order up tomorrow after I vote.

For Halo fans who didn't, know; they've preceded the release of Halo 4 with a live action series that is VERY impressive.

I present, Halo 4: Forward unto Dawn:
Part 1: http://youtu.be/BfJVgXBfSH8
Part 2: http://youtu.be/K56gSEJ6IGc
Part 3: http://youtu.be/WbBYG77VeCE
Part 4: http://youtu.be/FZ_xn889cSk
Part 5: http://youtu.be/gULQ5GFIkcA

Also, RoosterTeeth's final episode for the season of Red vs. Blue was released tonight. It was also a very amazing season, with an impressive ending.

I was trying to get through it fast and was playing normal, not expert or legendary.

That six hours blew my mind the whole time and nearly brought me to tears at others.

Both of which I completely missed. I went from Halo 1&2 to Reach to this. Do you have any issues with match speed/length and quicker deaths, or are they about the same as 3/ODST?

Honestly I dunno any difference but its also been a long time.

I will say the damage on the BR is off, it used to take 3 squeezes tot he chest and one to the head, now it's like 5-7 to the head.

I miss the brute weapons though. The new non-UNSC and non-Cov weapons are great. I want to see a flood survival mode with them.

I love Halo 4, I think it takes the best of the new & next generation and combines it with the old Halo feeling and nostalgia.

I just beat campaign on Legendary (man it was hard) and will be playing Spartan Ops and multiplayer for a long time I think. It's been a lot of fun for me, and I jumped straight from Halo 3 (and ODST) to Halo 4, separated by more than a yeAr of course.

343 has done an excellent job, and the story even makes you wonder about the real world we live in.

It makes Bungie look like a second rate studio, but even that has always been the case. Bungie, is very overrated in my opinion.

Halo 2, to me, had quite possibly the greatest Halo multiplayer ever. It has casted an enormous shadow. Halo 4 plays very much like Halo 3, but better balanced and overall just a better experience.

However Halo 3 tried to get back the fans of CE by making the multiplayer similar to it. But Halo 2s multiplayer had an amazing fluidity about it, that never really got replicated in the later games.

Halo 2 was Bungie at its highest creatively in taking risks. It is such a shame that the backlash caused them to be more conservative about changes, like in narrative plot just to please the fanbase.

I've been playing as one of the Russian nations. I took control of the the majority of the rest of the Russian nations and formed the Kingdom of Rus. Now I'm trying to gain more territory province by province without really using the Holy War casus belli since that would end up expanding the war beyond my control. Thankfully the large Cumanian empire just fractured, but unfortunately I can only declare Holy War on them so far.

I"m currently on the second King (who is actually the Grandson of the first, since his father died of illness) and just married my daughter off to Emperor Michael VIII of the Byzantine Empire (which has recovered well from the Muslim conflicts). It's kinda cool now because the Kingdom of the Rus and the Byzantine Empire now border each other.

Also, I have no clue how, but Poland has it's own Patriarch and is Orthodox.

You'd better prepare for Mongols, their doomstacks can rip your empire apart (yet it is possible to counter them very early, to prevent invasion, but in this case, they'll keep sending reinforcements, you'd have to deal regularly with strong stacks every 5 years I think ; the best solution is to let them invade..., and once they settled, they'll lost all of their bonuses (no attrition, reinforcements, doomstacks, etc)
