Hello! I have a prayer request, but before I get to it, here's some background: I'm originally from New Jersey, born and bred. At the end of Nov '07 I moved to Atlanta, Georgia for a job. At the beginning of Dec '08, I was laid off from my job. For the past 7 months, I have been looking for a new job, and have been quite unsuccessful. On Wed my father called me and made me an offer I couldn't refuse. He said that I could move back home with my parents, and he would support me to go to college full time to complete my degree. All I would have to do is work part time to cover some of the expenses. While I am extremely grateful for my father's generous offer, I am a bit nervous about moving back in with my parents after being out of their house since the age of 22, (I'm now 30) and about going back to school. In addition to this, since I last lived with my father, he's gotten remarried, and frankly, me and my stepmother can be like oil and water. I am trying to go in with a positive attitude, and to look at the "big picture" of the amazing opportunity they are giving me to complete my degree. Please pray for me, as this is a HUGE life transition, and there are a LOT of obstacles ahead. I am also a bit sad to leave all the wonderful friends I have made in Atlanta, and especially the church community I've fallen in love with. (The Presbytera in particular is really cool! ) I know that in many ways this new chapter in my life is an answer to prayer, and my gratitude to God cannot be understated. Your prayers during this transition are definitely coveted and appreciated! Thanks so much!

In addition to this, since I last lived with my father, he's gotten remarried, and frankly, me and my stepmother can be like oil and water. Um yeah, oil and water still not mixing well. Since moving home I spend 95% of my time at home locked in my bedroom for fear of offending my Stepmother. Apparantly that is not enough, as tonight we had a fight. I have to be here for at least another four years. I've GOT to make this work somehow. Please, pray for me. Thank you!

Lord have mercy. I had to do the same thing for about two years. I know how hard it is to live with one's parents again.
