On this great feast of St. Nektarios of Aegina (well, at least on the Revised Julian Calendar), the great healer of those afflicted with cancer and other maladies, let us pray for all those who have passed on from this life because of the terrible disease, for those who are currently afflicted with it, and for those who have had it taken from them by God's grace.

Through the Prayers of St. Nektarios, Lord Jesus Christ our God, have mercy and save those afflicted with and who have died from cancer!  Memory eternal!

Holy Father Patrick, pray for us

I have taken the liberty of attaching the text in English and Slavonic of the Athonite Akathist to the Mother of God Pantanassa (The Breath of All), known as Vsetsaritsa (The Queen of All) in Slavonic.

The Mother of God, through this icon, has been known to perform miracles in curing illness, particularly cancer.
