Dr. Patricia Limbert, the President of my university (Mississippi University for Women) just announced that over the next year we will have to cut our budget very substantially, so that we will probably lose something like 70 faculty and staff positions. For a small university like ours, it's a lot. Also, we might merge with a bigger school, likely Mississippi State University. If that happens, again, all kinds of position cuts are possible.
Please pray for us - faculty, staff, and also students who might also be suffering because of a possible tuition increase. Thank you!

My dad is the president of university out west and he's facing the same agonizing decisions. There's no easy solution and many are affected.
