"Vreme Cuda", for those who may want to know, is set in a village in Yugoslavia in 1945. The village school has burned down and the Communist authorities take over the village Church to use as the school and whitewash over the Icon frescoes. When a wandering stranger comes to the village, the Icons suddenly re-appear and the village teacher (a Communist) is accused of trickery and is executed. The stranger visits the corpse of the teacher and he is resurrected, After a series of misunderstandings, the villagers turn on the stranger and kill him, and as he dies, the Icons in the Church fade away again.
