I've found an anime bout special-magic-katana-soviet unit during WW II. I have no idea what is the plot but it is drawn nice. They've even got a Monk as one of the major characters.

Interesting. I've never been a big fan of anime by any means, but this looks interesting. I might see it.

I've... heard about it from a coworker. He described it as "uniquely terrible." No, there was no sarcasm on his part; he thought it really sucked.
