The DVD for the making of... How did you like it? That could be fairly interesting since Heritage was fairly different from the previous Opeth albums.

It seems pretty good to me, not great but not boring either. But then I love these kinds of things, and I liked (not loved) the album, so that probably made me like it a bit more than I otherwise would have. They did address the change in direction as well. I hope they go back to a more metal sound, and Akerfeldt just does this kind of thing in side projects (which I plan on buying one of this year, called Storm Corrosion).

I don't know how seriously Åkerfield's comments in some of the interviews that I've read should be taken but he seems fairly fed up with metal. Which is a shame since although I love both progressive rock and their previous acoustic songs I don't like Heritage.

IIRC, this one. It's been a while though I read those interviews but this is how I understood his comments when Heritage was released. He seemed to be more into old-fashioned Progressive Rock than Metal.

Inland Empire is that film dude. 3 hours of pure Lynch, just incredible. It's going to take along while for this one to sink in and there is one scene in particular which I think is the most disturbing haunting image I have ever seen.
A hell of an emotional rollercoaster. You've bought me, I'm into watching it. Got it? Watching it right now again.

Lol, I didn't know there is a book of same idea. Maybe I should read it since I didn't quite understand the movie. It didn't seem exactly bad one but the wasn't happening except walking and flashbacks.

Watched two movies on netflix recently... The Hollywood Complex - About parents who try get their kids into the movie industry during pilot season. Pretty fairly balanced I thought, when it would have been easy to sensationalise things given the material. Nonetheless, you feel relieved at the end when at least one of the children goes back to having a normal life, though you feel bad for some others. Overall the parents came across very well, unlike movies/shows I've seen based on similar subject material, in which the parents usually seemed to either be exploiting their kids or trying to relive their childhood through them or something. I Think We're Alone Now - About two people--one with Asperger's and one who is intersexual--who are obsessed with former teen pop personality Tiffany. I have a thing for Tiffany, that's why it caught my attention These two individuals are quite obsessed with Tiffany though, and it's one of those trainwreck reality show type situations that you don't look away from. Frankly I felt bad for both individuals, on multiple levels, though they both seem to at least have some support.

I am looking forward to The Master. Critics rave, but fan reviews are so-so. Lots of fan reviews were actually pretty bad. I hope it's as good as the critics say. I usually trust the critics over the fans, but when a lot of fans say they hate a movie then that's not a good sign. Anyone seen it yet?

Bob is one of the reasons why I can't watch Twin Peaks a second time. Every scene he is in is just nightmarish. And that black hooded figure near the end of the second season made me a little uneasy too. And of course the music in the show makes everything worse. The pilot episode where the hand grabs the necklace an the music accompanying that? Holy crap that couldn't leave my head for a week.

Watched Cashback on netflix...
About a guy who discovers that he can freeze time. So, while working in a supermarket, he freezes time, unclothes girls, and does sketches of them. Some beautiful scenes.
Also watched Bane and Crawlspace, both of which I found fairly boring. I also watched Suspended Animation, which had a great start to it, but I eventually lost interest.

The Avengers, for the fifth time in as many days. The kids like Hulk for some reason.

Time to watch my favourite movie again. Watched that about a month ago. Had to order it off amazon on DVD as I don't have a VHS player anymore. (For those of you who don't know, VHS is an archaeotech device that people in the 90's used to watch movies.)

It is an education process for me as I learn about the psychology of spiritual apostasy. And others get the benefit of perhaps hearing righteousness for the first time.
Blessed are the Peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God.

I think the other two movies are crap, but the action is good, and it's got dinosaurs so they were worth a watch. I wish they had followed the book for the second movie. I thought Lost World stood up to Jurassic Park and held it's own. They were conveying different messages along the same lines, which made them both good, IMHO.
