Just went 44 minutes into this garbage:

Pretentious, smug - really - unrealistic.
It had a good thing going for it in the 1st ten minutes but it just vanishes.
I'm watching Predator and throwing this monstrosity into the garbage.

A very underrated sports movie. Based on a true story. And a movie that's suitable to watch with the family. Good stuff.

I saw it yesterday with my godchildren. I enjoyed it, as well.

I was "so" in to what was happening.... that at one point I actually got goosebumps all over.... I won't give away what was happening at that moment for those who haven't seen it yet... but, as I was all in goosebumps others in the theater actually clapped and yelled out.

It was kind of fun getting lost in a bit of frivolity and nonsense for a couple of hours.

Decided to go to the cinema Thursday night to avoid the cacophonous shenanigans of the neighborhood fireworks. My plan worked out in one way, because the theatre was completely empty and I was able to kill about two and half hours. And when I got home it was after 1:00 a.m. and the fireworks buffoons had packed it in for the night.

I saw a movie that I expected to be reasonably entertaining because it received an 82% score on Rotten Tomatoes. But good grief, what a truly awful film it was. I seriously would have almost preferred putting up with the fireworks. Just a horrendously dull, inane, pretentious, and poorly acted movie that pointlessly droned on and on.

So, don't waste your money or your time on Midsommar. Horrible.

The Princess and the Frog. I had forgotten how awesome a villain Dr Facilier is. :D We plan to watch as much of the Disney animated catalogue as possible over summer break.

Variety Critics Debate ‘Joker’

Have read a number of articles on this movie, some pro and some con. I figured I'd wait till it came to Netflix/Amazon/whatever to watch it. Has anyone seen it?

Saw it yesterday. Really liked it and might go to see it again today. The overall disturbing feel remained until the end, I didn't find it predictable and it seemed to lack any relatable characters. Also, I didn't find it too epic or melodramatic with bothers me in some of these kind of movies. Not much negative to say really.

I just saw it. It made me so sad, I cried.

Great movie... disturbing... uncomfortable... highly recommended.

I will be ruminating about it for days... and it will have an impact on how I see and treat others.

It was empty and lonely... and devoid of God... that it was heartbreaking.

Interesting how one of the critics says this film evokes Dostoevsky.

I'm really interested in seeing this.  Joaquin Phoenix is probably the best actor of my generation.

Saw it tonight. Very, very dark. And violent.
Top-quality acting.

Mother Night

Not as good as the novel, but still solid.
