Prayers for Nephew Joe ,going into the army today....
My brother took him to The Serbian Gracanica Monastery to have him Blessed by Bishop Longin,
they will pray for him For several days for his well being and protection .....
Lord Have Mercy And Protect.....Amen Amen..

Nine years ago I was in the Serbian Gracanica Monastery too just after NATO bombardments and was blessed there by a Serbian priest. This blessing helped me a lot in my military service then in Pristina and after that in Russia.

Dear brother in Christ,
Close to Gracanica, at Gazimestan, where the battle of Kosovo took place in 1389 there stand monuments relating to heroism, self-denial, and acts of love of Serbian people. Such names as Saint Stefan Lazar and Saint Sava will always fill Orthodox Christians with the light and joy.
