A dear friend of ours just got out of a physically and mentally abusive relationship, he had to leave behind a step-daughter, 3. It's very complicated, but he is now getting voicemails with the little girl worked into a frenzy, you can hear the mother egging it on, it's really sick stuff. They live in Florida, he is with us in our home recovering, but we are all worried for this poor little girl. The cops have been called, please pray for the Lord's mercy and for this girl's protection.

On a more mundane level: he should document. I don't know about Florida, but in Illinois a step-father can get custody. In fact, a live in boyfriend got custody a few years back. Circumstances, obviously, have to be severe. Have him make known to the cops that he is willing to take the girl.

Thank you all so much for your prayers, this morning Gabriella's (the little girl) grandparents stepped in and have taken her to their house, our friend trusts them as they have seen much of what went on; thank you for your continued prayers.
