Yesterday Lena Yaralova, a lifelong friend of my mother's, was critically injured in a car crash. She is on life support, has multiple fractures, massive trauma of the internal organs, etc.
Please pray for Lena, for her parents Polina ind Igor (also my mom's friends since the 1950-s), and for my mom (Ludmila).

Thank you all so much for the prayers.
I talked with my mom on the phone a couple of hours ago. Last she heard is that Lena is conscious, ate "two spoons of something," and even uttered several words.
A person from the intense care team said that if things go well, tomorrow they will, maybe, try to transport her to a bigger hospital.
Lena is (was?) a theatre and movie actress. Right now, it's not clear whether she will live, and if she will, it is not clear whether she will even walk. But... who knows. I am praying for Lena's life and healing. Lord, Thy will be done.

Thank you again for the prayers! Last I heard, Lena is still unconscious most of the time, although sometimes she wakes up and asks, where is she? - but it does not seem that she understands what people say in response to this question; she still stares through people, even her closest relatives (daughter), and does not recognize anyone. Most importantly, there is no massive internal bleeding and there is no severe infection. My mom seems to be a little bit better emotionally, somewhat more stable. Please keep praying for Lena and her family and for my mom.

An update: Lena has been transported to a bigger hospital and underwent three surgical operations. She is conscious right now. The doctors aren't sure whether she will walk, but at least her condition, generally, is not critical anymore, just serious. Thank you so, so much for your prayerful support!
