I think I saw a hint here or there on OC.net, but -- unless I am mistaken -- no obvious congratulations have been put forth.
Thus, I'd like to proclaim Axios! and express my approval at the ordination of Fr. George, formerly known on these boards as cleveland, to the Holy Diaconate on Saturday and the Holy Priesthood on Sunday. Συγχαρητήρια, συμφοιτητής μου!

There is a picture circulating around the interwebs, but I don't know if it is meant to be made public. I'll wait for Fr. George to do the posting...

I was wondering were "Cleveland was". I suppose it is not to much of a stretch to say then that " I have entertained an angel (i.e. 'a messenger') unawares". Congratulations friend, may the grace of our Lord keep you and make you effective in His cause, and servant of all.

We still want pictures! I guess Fr. George is just too shy to allow pictures Or I'm too forgetful. I've attached 3 photos from my Deaconal ordination (location: Annunciation GO Church, Akron, OH). For some reason, I don't have any from my ordination to the priesthood on my computer - I'll get some from someone else. #2 - The laying on of hands. #3 - My addressing the Bishop (this one comes chronologically before #2) #5 - The clergy, my wife and daughter with His Eminence. The count that day: 1 hierarch, 13 priests (maybe 14 - I forget), 3 deacons, plus me.

Thank you. We still want pictures! I've gotten the requisite permission. Here are photos from my Ordination to the Priesthood (location: Sts. Constantine and Helen Cathedral, Cleveland Hts., OH). Part 1. 2_006: Matins w/ Metropolitan MAXIMOS of Pittsburgh. 2_028: The Holy Table during matins. 2_049: The beginning of the Divine Liturgy. 2_061: Great Litany (or maybe the 1st Small Litany).

Excellence of character, then, is a state concerned with choice, lying in a mean relative to us, this being determined by reason and in the way in which the man of practical wisdom would determine it. Now it is a mean between two vices, that which depends on excess and that which depends on defect.
