Just found out that 16 people at my campus (that is 1% of all those living on campus) have been diagnosed with H1N1... Last week it was at 3... This may be due to several large parties this weekend, I don't know but we are hoping and praying it doesn't spread further. I'm certain no one will be seriously affected by it, but catching it includes a mandatory quarantine and being sent home for at least 7 days after discovery. (as well as a mandatory cleaning/fogging of the rooms)
Lord have mercy on everyone with this virus and for those at risk of getting it!

26 cases of the flu on campus, 22 students have gone home with the others being in isolation on campus... This means at least 22 have H1N1, as our policy requires you to leave ASAP if you have H1N1 and you have to remain home for at least 7 days, or until you no longer exhibit symptoms for 24 hours straight.
They have informed us that according to the CDC, flu symptoms right now usually means H1N1 because it's "too early" for the normal flu.

However, I have learned that the majority of the 26 cases are all in one fraternity on campus. It could also be likely that the other cases could be connected somehow to that fraternity.
We are lucky, as I don't think H1N1 is going to hit us very severely (that is, requiring hospitalization), but what we are all worried about the most is missing class for a week.
Lord have mercy on all and I pray a speedy recovery to those that are sick.

Thankfully, either I got a weak case of it, or my immune system was just up to the task. It didn't sideline me for too long. Though we have had some pretty bad cases of it recently here (people on respirators, deaths, etc).
