All Churches and religions have problems like this. My post was, in no way, an attempt to point a figure at the RCC as being the "only Church" which has issues like this.
It's a sham that the poor parishioners of these parishes have had to see their heritage be sold off for whatever reason. A church is more then just a brick and mortar "worship space" but a lace that has a deep connection to the people who attend it every week. This is made even worse by the fact that these churches are ethnic parishes and they served not just the wider Catholic community, but specific groups of people, many of them going back over a hundred years.
How can they,once closed, ever be replaced?
