I am starting at a new university in York in a few weeks and I'm really nervous. I am nervous about getting to know new people and I'm hoping I will cope with the work. As well, I may have to leave my partner and find somewhere to live away from him, and away from the community and people I am have become very fond of. If not, my partner will certainly have to find a new home here in Oxford (the lease on our home is coming to an end) and places are very expensive. All in all I am getting quite worried. I would really appreciate your prayers and any good advice you might have. I know it's not a big thing to be worried about but I am finding myself quite intimidated by the prospect of so many changes.
Liz.

I know how difficult it is to make a new beginning, as I've had to make quite a few adjustments in the past few months.
Put your trust in God, and know that He is aware of your every need. He will guide you through this.
May the Lord have mercy on thy Handmaiden Elizabeth!

Last Sunday I could attend my new St. Venerable-martyr Gregory of Georgia (Peradze) Mission. It looked like my imaginations of most US missions: half of the attendants took Eucharist, not in an Orthodox Church building (it's in Old Catholic Chapel), modern language in Liturgy (Polish), ethnically mixed (Poles, Belarusians, Ukrainians, Russians, Greeks, Georgians, Bulgarians and other), revised-Julian calendar, coffee hour after the Service.
I really liked it.
