Patriarch Bartholomew's Museum opened

The inauguration of a memorial museum of great historical importance was held in Imvros by the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. The museum is a convenience store which was run by his grandfather and now serves as a museum bearing the name of the Patriarch, who stated to the attendees, among others, the following:

“It brings me great pleasure and emotions to be here, because the new generation of Imvros, children who were not born here, but overseas by parents who came from Imvros, have shown an immense love towards Imvros, just like we, who lived and relished the good old times of Imvros, do. Coming from Imvros, I consider my roots to be a primary element of my identity and my position as a Patriarch comes second to this. I have only served as a Patriatch for the past 18 years, I have been a Cleric for the past 48 years, but I have come from Imvros since the day I was born and I will retain this until the day I close my eyes” stated the Patriarch.

His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew is visiting Imvros, like every year on such days to honour the Celebration of The Assumption of Mary, in his Village Agioi Theodoroi. Within the framework of his visit, he took part along with compatriots from Imvros from abroad but also tourists in the cleansing of the shores of the island.

Why do posters that claim to have me blocked keep sending me pms and responding to my posts? That makes no sense.

Does any of the Phanariotes ;) know what this museum will be of? I would be grateful for something more precise than memorial museum of great historical importance which, actually, says nothing.

Wasn't Arb. Iakovos of blessed memory from Imvos?  Does he have a museum?
Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more.
A hasty quarrel kindles fire,
and urgent strife sheds blood.
If you blow on a spark, it will glow;
if you spit on it, it will be put out;
                           and both come out of your mouth

I think you're mixing two islands up: Imviros (Archbishop +IAKOVOS' home, mentioned in the Iliad) and Imvros (Patriarch +BARTHOLOMEW's home).

archbishop iakovos DOES have a museum actually, at the top of the library building dedicated to him at Holy Cross there is a very nice museum dedicated to His Eminence.  May His Memory Be Eternal!

Yes.  Archbishop Iakovos of Thrice Blessed Memory, was from Imvros, too.  In fact, his sister was Patriarch Bartholomew's Godmother.

Many Years to His All Holiness!
