Ok what's the subject of this thread other than the title that says "Catherine!"  You are gonna have to explain what you are talking about in more detail.

I will be Chrismated on Sunday.

Me too.  Smiley  I shall light a candle and say a prayer for you, Alpo.

So I was chrismated today and if I understanded correctly so was Catherine. I found it intriguing that there's actually some other real person on the other side of the Globe who was chrismated as a member of the same Church as I on the same day as I, confessed the same Creed as I, heard the same prayers prayed for her as I heard. She experienced the same thing as I experienced today.  I wasn't affiliated with just a Finnish denomination but with the catholic Church with real people all around the World. That's why I wanted to congratulate her. Our Church is truly catholic.

Glory to God!  You are the envy of the world!

Three of my family members were also received today by baptism and chrismation.

Who did you take as your patron (or, rather, who took you)?

You too, Alpo! This thread really is lovely- thank you. We have finally found our home in Christ. I feel like a hippy at the moment (well, I am a hippy. .); I feel a deep sense of peace (actually, there are no words to describe what this feels like and I haven't touched a drop of alcohol. . . :-)).

Who did you take as your patron (or, rather, who took you)?

St. Elizabeth New martyr, Grand Duchess of Russia; Saint Elizabeth's story is one of many that inspire me (. .St. Photini, St. Kassiani, St. Photine, St. Mary Magdalene, St. Mary of Egypt) but I feel a very special connection with Saint Elizabeth of Russia. Who is your patron Saint, Alpo?

May God Bless you all - always.

Who is your patron Saint, Alpo?

I chose him after my first name. He is an Italian hieromartyr who died under diocletian persecution on the 4th century.
