Friends.
The Philippines' former President, Corazon C. Aquino has died yesterday. She is one of the greatest people of our history, our first lady president, and the most prominent Icon of the EDSA People Power Revolution of 1986, that freed our country from the beastly, corrupt and severly oppresive Marcos' regime. Truly she is one of our most beloved presidents, and we will truly miss her. Our country greets this news with much mourning, and sorrow fills the streets of Manila as her coffin enters the Historic "La Salle Greenhills Gymnasium" where the Snap elections of 1986 were held, and how the People safeguarded our democratic rights by defending the integrity of votes and not allowing the administration to tamper with them. Truly, it is moments like these that make me proud to be Filipino, despite our murky image with the International World. She makes me more proud to be Filipino more than Manny Pacquiao or Charisse Pempengco does.. Mabuhay ka Tita Cory! (Long Live your Memory!)
