Another forum I visit did this topic a few weeks ago, and since we all like a wide variety of music, I think it might be fun.

Load up your mp3 player with all of your mp3 files to play in random order.  List the first 15 songs no matter how embarassing they are.

My list:

01. Bob Marley - Redemption Song
02. Buggles - Video Killed the Radio Star (80s baby, yeah)
03. Ray Charles - Yesterday (Beatles cover)
04. Spirit of the West - Home for a Rest (great drinking song)
05. Gattaca Soundtrack - Only a Matter of Time
06. The Messenger Soundtrack - My Heart Calling
07. Choir of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Cathedral, Washington DC - Dalsparvitsia
08. The Shins - Pressed in a Book
09. Amelie Soundtrack - La Noyee
10. Jimmy Hendrix and John Lennon - Daytripper (live)
11. The Pogues - Poor Paddy
12. String Cheese Incident - Take Five
13. Metallica - Of Wolf and Man
14. Bach - Ave Maria
15. Choir of St. John of the Ladder Orthodox Church - Now the Powers of Heaven

But, I don't have an mp3 player, and my record player only holds around 8 LP's at once. If I put more than that on the spindle at once, then sometimes 2 will drop instead of just one. I hate when that happens!

Actually Grand Funk Live. Frampton went sappy after leaving Humble Pie. Humble Pie: Rockin the Fillmore. That was always on there also; "I Don't Need No Doctor"

I agree about Peter Frampton.  I mentioned Frampton Comes Alive because it seemed like just about everybody in the 70s had a copy of it (actually, I did not).

Do you remember the band Montrose? With Sammy Hagar as vocalist and Ronny Montrose on lead guitar?

That was rock-n-roll.

Good thread, why didn't it ever take off? You OC.net old timers were such sticks in the mud!  Tongue I don't have an Mp3 player, so I have to do something different. I just went into Windows Media Player, and got an alphabetical list of the songs I have on my hard drive, and here's what came up for the first fifteen:

Corrosion of Conformity - #2121313
Colourfast - ...From Here
Megadeth - 1,320
Metallica - 2X4
Prince - 3 Chains of Gold
Keelhaul - 3x3 Eyes
Soundgarden - 4th of July
Pantera - 5 Minutes Alone
Prince - 7
Deliverance - 23
Pantera - 25 Years
Keelhaul - 39f
Megadeth - 44 Minutes
Haste the Day - 68
Megadeth - 99 Ways to Die

The only embarrassing stuff is Prince Cheesy

All my music won't fit on my ipod. It's not even close. But I can reproduce the original request by just playing my whole library and clicking 'randomize' -- which gives me:

Lamb - Five
Kajiura Yuki - Ship of Fools
Echo and the Bunnymen - History Chimes
Art-School - Iris
Nichika - Atarashii Mizu
Kokia - So Sad/So Bad
Interpol - Leif Erikson
The Rolling Stones - Street Fighting Man
Portishead - Mysterons
Natalie Merchant - San Andreas Fault
Aretha Franklin - Respect
Acidman - Spaced Out
Tracy Chapman - I am Yours
The Birthday - Mutsu Kazoete Hi o Tsukero
Lloyd Cole - That Boy

Doing it Asteriktos' way I get:
Serial Experiments Lain OST - "s"peEd (cyberia mix)
Garbage - #1 Crush
Audioslave - #1 Zero
The Sex Pistols - (I'm Not Your) Steppin' Stone
The Monkees - (I'm Not Your) Stepping Stone
Kosheen - (Slip & Slide) Suicide
One OK Rock - (You Can Do) Everything
The Righteous Brothers - (You're My) Soul and Inspiration
Yaida Hitomi - .
Outkast - ?
Kokia - ?
Misono - ? cm
The Smashing Pumpkins - [Untitled]
Kimura Kaela - +1
Kokia - +sing
