I was wondering if anyone new of any good site which offers Online Orthodox Courses.  Would be nice if it led to some kind of diploma.

I've searched this forum and didn't really find anything.

Searching the Web I found a school in Finland - http://www.joensuu.fi/tkk/avoin/opiskelu/verkko-opinnot/orthod/index.htm
They offer a diploma for 25 credits.

There was also the St. Elias School of Theology - http://www.st-elias-school.org/index.html.
It states: St. Elias School of Orthodox Theology is under the supervision of the Eparchy of Nebraska.
Eparchy of "which" church?

I know that St. Tikhon's offers online courses - but, of what I could see, it seemed to all be in Russian.

Any ideas or suggestions?

I would prefer that the institution belong to a Canonical Orthodox Church.

Thanks in advance for any/all suggestions!

This is a correspondence course run by Holy Trinity Seminary at Jordanville:  http://hts.edu/seminary/front/en/academics.html#6    It's not online but they are fully accredited and, of course, fully canonical.

The only thing I could find on those "St Elias" people is this:  http://www.netministries.org/see/churches.exe/ch07324  Definitely illegitimate.

There's this one: http://www.euclidconsortium.eu/euclid/en/mdiv.asp

I don't know how prestigious the degree is, but I'm really enjoying it. Don't know if I'll finish it, I'm just doing it for fun. But Fr. Laurence (OCA) who runs it is great, really knowledgeable, helpful, and conservative.

What about the St. Stephens' courses ran by the Antiochians?  Don't know if stuff is online or not but it is a distance education program.

Liza, I don't think that the "Eparchy of Nebraska" is in communion with any other Orthodox church.

From what I've read, it's just a guy in a farmhouse out in rural Nebraska.

I'd probably look elsewhere.

It is a bit more than than.  I attended this in its infancy.  Run from it.  Don't look back.

Wow!  I am running!   Shocked

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions.

Some of these are rather pricey.  Not sure I can afford them.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Thanks again!

Hm, really? From the online look of it, it looks like it is run by, literally, Fr. Lawrence alone. Along with some science courses and much of the "university". Fr. Lawrence may be conservative and well-intentioned, but he apparently has this irresistible attraction to fantasy life, "diplomatic", "charitable" and "academic". Besides, courses seem to be somewhat expensive for a make-believe school.
