I just received a message on facebook that a good friend of mine who was supposed to get married this summer is now separated from her fiance and they will not be getting married.

We sorta saw this coming (or at least I did). They got engaged about this time last year, when they had only been dating for about 3 weeks. She was living upstairs in our house/apartment and so we got to meet this guy. I tried to be friendly to him but non of our friends liked him and he continued to be a jerk unless she was around.

She was so excited about this wedding & had sent out invitations back while we all were still at school. She had most of it planned out and had even withdrawn her enrollment to our university to transfer to his. They were supposed to be living in an apartment together and going to college together (separate majors though)...

I'm sure this is hard on her and it's bad that it had to happen to such a nice girl.
