Please say a prayer for my co-worker M. He is an Assistant Professor at my department, a wonderful, hard-working, and very friendly guy. Earlier today, he told me that his wife suddenly left him, and is now officially filing for divorce. He never mistreated her in any way, and she does not claim that, but she (and even more so her relatives) thinks that he is not making enough money to provide for her needs, and that's an "inhumane treatment." They have a 4-year old son, and M.'s wife told him that she will fight for her sole custody. M., of course, is utterly shocked and depressed.

Lord, have mercy on poor M., and on all involved...

Lord have mercy!

The only way she'll win sole custody is if he roles over or if there are skeletons in the closet. He should take heart and not back down, for the sake of the child.
