As we celebrate this, the 233rd anniversary of our founding, let us be mindful in prayer of all the benefits we have of living in this country, for our leaders (even if we disagree strongly with them), for those who are especially hurt by the current economic plight, for those in the military overseas fighting and giving their lives, for our fellow Americans.

O Lord, save Thy people and bless Thine Inheritance, grantin to Thy people victory over all adversaries and by the power of Thy Cross, preserving Thine estate.

Lord, have mercy!
