Things Fall into Place
« on: June 23, 2009, 07:41:33 PM »
I appreciate your prayers to my previous prayer requests.

For the past two years, I've been considerably stressed.  I tried high school teaching for a year, which I had hoped would work and open doors for me, but it did not work out for me, although I did my best at it.  I became rather despondent at this, because I really enjoyed many aspects of teaching.

I started working in the financial field about a year ago.  I thought I'd give it a try; it would be a job at least, to pay bills.  But after what's been happening these past few months, I'm feeling that this particular job and perhaps this field are not for me.  It's frustrating to hear of customer complaints against you, not because you did anything objectively wrong, but because they just don't feel right about you, or because you're not fast enough for them.

I really want to get back into my field.  So if you could pray that:

I find a full-time job in a field where I don't feel out of place and am at least somewhat enthusiastic about what I'm doing.  Also, if possible, that this job be away from my hometown, where I feel like I'm in exile.

If you could also pray to St. Xenia for me, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks again for your prayers.

Lord have mercy!
Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more.
A hasty quarrel kindles fire,
and urgent strife sheds blood.
If you blow on a spark, it will glow;
if you spit on it, it will be put out;
                           and both come out of your mouth

So, I was cleaning out my car and found an old fortune cookie slip:

" :) You are next in line for promotion in your firm  :)"

Of course, it's likely nobody in my firm is being promoted this year.   :P

Thanks for your prayers.

Thank you for your prayers.

I'm working especially hard to comply with my bosses in what they want to see from me.  At the same time, for me to complete all this, it's a matter of adrenaline (if you know what I mean) and acting out of personality, which is not good for me.

Lord, have mercy.
I believe in One God, maker of heaven and earth and of all things visible and invisible.
