There is no more evident sign that anyone is a saint and of the number of the elect, than to see him leading a good life and at the same time a prey to desolation, suffering, and trials. - Saint Aloysius Gonzaga

Pretty pictures, got anymore? The picture is not a pretty one because there was collaboration between some of the Catholics and the Croatian Ustase against the Serbian Orthodox. I don;t like what happened and I don't think it helps to trivialise the situation. This horrible historical event went a long way toward wrecking and killing whatever small chance there was for reconciliation or friendship between Catholics and Orthodox

So what exactly are we discussing? It seems to me that matters like collaboration of X. Y, and Z with the Nazis is a political topic rather than religious...

The RCC cannot be villified so easily since Polish Catholics suffered from Nazi oppression while Orthodox nations like Romania and Bulgaria were axis. There are too many variables involved.

I was trying to show that to blame any church is wrong and simplistic since Greek Orthodox also suffered from brutal axis oppression. So you have some Catholic nationals and some Orthodox nationals suffering from the axis and other Catholicand Orthodox nations among the axis. What about the Lutherans? Many supported Hitler but then, what about Pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer who died in a Nazi camp? This blame game business is why reason suffers and political correctness is so rampant.

This is true and I agree to a certain extent. But still, it is disturbing to read about what happened between Christians. Christians are called to charity.
