I have been working with a man occasionally who is on and off talking about suicide. If he were in the United States, I would report him to the authorities so he could get help, but he lives in Yemen and only communicates with me via a prepay cell phone, so there is nothing I can do. At any rate, he is again threatening to kill himself and I would ask that you pray for "J." that God would help him get a better job and have more food to eat, and that he stop thinking about suicide as an answer. Practically speaking, there really is nothing I can say to him, because this man's life is really terrible. He basically says that while he appreciates my encouragement, it's not doing anything practically to get him out of his hopeless situation, so he reasons, "why bother?" He doesn't fear hell either, so there really is no route that I can pursue here and I am out of solutions.
In Christ,
Fr Anastasios

A tough case...
Jarhad Barham! Lord, have mercy! Kyrie eleison! Dear Savior, please have mercy. St. Thaddeus, a great supporter in critical situations, please help.
My prayers also for you, Fr. Anastasios. Your efforts are highly commendable.
