I haven't heard from him. He unfriended me on FB a while back. I've sent him a few messages but no response. I know he's struggling with a few difficult issues - personally and theologically. But struggle is good, so perhaps he's in a good place spiritually. I don't know. I always admired his keen intellect and his many thoughtful contributions to this forum. I wish him all the best.

 that sad I went back and read everything he seemed spiritually lost towards the end. Does that happen to people on here a lot?

The avatar he uses, I could be mistaken, looks to me like a contemporary icon of Zoroaster rather than of Chrost but I could be mistaken.  I have seen Zoroaster depicted in a few paintings with a distinctive yellow or saffron girdle and a vaguely Christlike appearance.
It's a wgwism. What more need be said?
