I just noticed on a post from ozgeorge that he will no longer be posting on the site nor will he be able to be reached through oc.net. I hope he's OK. Is he just retiring? Or are there other reasons?
If it's a private matter or one that is just not to be shared, I understand, and I don't want to start a gossip column, but I think everyone here who has been on the site for awhile realize just how much he elevated discussion with his posts and insights. I know I didn't always agree with him, but I liked what he wrote.
Ozgeorge, if you can still read this, we'll miss you and your thoughts. Take care.

Yes. We'll miss you. I had no idea ozgeorge was not going to post anymore. OC.net won't be Oc.net without ozgeorge, that's for sure. If I did anything to offend you, please forgive me.

I imagine if he wanted to elaborate about his choice to leave OC.net he would. If he chooses to come back and explain that would be nice. But if he doesn't then we should respect his wishes and not have an ongoing dialogue about why he may or may not have chose to leave. He will be missed for sure!

As some of you have already noted, our poster Ozgeorge has elected to retire. This is not due to any health reason or any other concern, but a personal choice he has made.
I just wanted to reassure everyone that Ozgeorge is fine. Unfortunately, I had a busy day and did not have the opportunity to explain what was going on until now. Please accept my apologies for any worries you may have had over this situation.
I have always appreciated Ozgeorge's sense of humor, wisdom, and service to this site. If he should desire to be active on this site again, I will greatly rejoice!

This is sad news. I've always appreciated George's level-headed posts. His loving spirit is an inspiration and he will be greatly missed. His retirement from OC.net is a great loss for us all.  |

Well, I am from Australia ... so, as one Australian leaves another one comes along. I have a slight suspicion ... ozgeorge will be back from retirement. Last year, our Group Manager went into retirement ... there was tears, parties and gnashing of teeth ... latest news is, he came out of retirement because he got BORED of being at home with the wife all day Gardening just wasnt quite what he thought ... ozgeorge .. we are waiting for your coming out of retirement party .. ozgeorge .. shame I missed your path .. just.
