What exactly are the 250 angelic salutations? A prayer? Something you pray on the prayer beads?

There are a handful of English versions of it (translations) but:

Hail! Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, O Virgin Theotokos: Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, for thou hast borne the Saviour of our souls. x 250
