I live in Ohio, and was wondering if there was a Western Rite Orthodox Church anywhere near me. I would be willing to drive a couple hours to get there. I have always wanted to be part/experience a Western Rite Liturgy, but haven't been able to locate a parish. Anyone able to help? Thanks, and God Bless!

I don't know where you are in Ohio, but in MI (Detroit area) http://holyincarnation.org/is a nice parish. I was there when they were still using an episcopalian building. They have their own now in Lincoln Park

I am near Columbus. Detroit may be a little unattainable right now. Know of any closer parishes?

No. That seems to be the only East of the Mississippi in the Midwest.

you could try go get one of the priests to air their liturgy online or something. It's a poor substitute, but if you're desperate to see a western rite liturgy...

Does anyone know of any ROCOR western-rite churches in the US? The site that I have seen with all of the western-rite churches only lists ones that are Antiochian and I'm pretty sure there are ROCOR western-rite ones in the US.

Does anyone know of any ROCOR western-rite churches in the US? There are few Western Rite ROCA priests in the States. For information contact Hieromonk Aidan who runs the e-list Occidentalis on Yahoo. He has also published quite a large amount of liturgical material for the Sarum Rite. Here is his website. http://www.allmercifulsavior.com/Western.htmlI'll send you his e-mail by PM. Hieromonk Ambrose

No. That seems to be the only East of the Mississippi in the Midwest. That stinks. Hmmm. What to do now? Christ is risen! You could always evangelize some local Anglicans or Episcopalians. Other than that, I don't have any more suggestions. In Christ, Andrew

I found this on the site listed above:
SYNOD OF MILAN Autonomous Orthodox Metropolia of Milan and Aquileia, Western Europe and the Americas
(established under the Tomos of Autonomy of His Holiness, Patriarch Volodymir and the Holy Synod of Kiev)
His Beatitude, the Very Most Reverend Metropolitan Evloghios, First Hierarch of the Holy Synod
Archdiocese of New York and New Jersey His Eminence, the Most Reverend Archbishop John, Ruling Archbishop
Is this a canonical Church in the EO? It doesn't look like it, but I am not an expert on these things.

Ask Heorhij about them. If I remember, he was among them for a while. It started as an Old Calendarist group, and may be considered as such by some. Judge accordingly.

They used to be a diocese under the Florinite Old Calendarists, they were granted autonomy, but I don't believe they are in communion with anyone now (World Orthodox nor Old Calendarists).

Western Rite parishes in the OCA? I mean the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese. There is a OCA church in the same area.

There's a WR church in the DFW area of Texas, not Ohio.
