Yesterday I was contacted by the HR of my employment have been notified that I may be "retired". I ask your prayers for me that if it is God's will I be retained as I am 57 y.o. and still a little young to retire and in this economy may have difficulty in finding a job . If "retired, your prayers to stregnthen my resolve that this God's will for me and that I am able to accept it graciously and with thanksgiving.
Blessed Holy Week! Thomas

Lord have mercy!
I think though, that you have the correct attitude on this situation, given what you have written. If the Lord is arranging things for you to serve Him, I pray you do so with joy!

Excellence of character, then, is a state concerned with choice, lying in a mean relative to us, this being determined by reason and in the way in which the man of practical wisdom would determine it. Now it is a mean between two vices, that which depends on excess and that which depends on defect.

Joining the roll call of those who are losing their jobs and need prayers. Mine is ending in August. I'm still in the upbeat "aw, shucks, everything's gonna be fine!" phase, so I'd like prayers that I'll be able to put that positive attitude to work now so things will be easier when I inevitably start getting depressed about it, say around July. Thank you! And I will pray for my fellow los-ees too! (P.S. My husband says not to worry and is giving me lots of help. So prayers of THANKSGIVING also for such a wonderful, supportive husband! )
