These next two weeks will be very trying for me, the worst part of the year, followed by the best (summer vacation!).  Please pray for me and all others who are under a lot of pressure with our work at the universities.  I have to write a 20 page paper, an additional 25 page paper, give a 45 minute presentation of my research before my colleagues, as well as grade 105 final examinations, all within the next 14 days.  Pray for me!

Alright, I have arrived at my goal, weary and dazed.  But I AM DONE!  It's 5:16 AM Central US Time, and I have just completed the last page of my last term paper.  I have absolutely nothing left to do but turn it in tomorrow (actually today!?!).  Summer is here, and it is going to be all play and no work for me.  I am finishing recording my bands new album, going to some festivals, and I am planning on making a pilgrimage to Platina this summer.  While I am in California, I really want to make the effort to go down to San Francisco to venerate the relics of St. John of San Fransisco.  Is it worth the extra effort?  If so, should I try to go on a Sunday, or are there services throughout the week?

I also just noticed that it's really weird when saint's names include other saint's names.  St. John of San Fransisco = St. John of St. Francis, and Francis of Assisi isn't even an Orthodox saint!  Man am I tired!

Do y'all recommend I go to Platina and San Fransisco, or should I rather go to St. Anthony's in Arizona for an Athonite flavored pilgrimage?  Some have told me that St. Anthony's is pretty crowded with tourists and buses, and thus it is not much of a 'wilderness experience'.  Others have suggested Platina for a true retreat to the wilderness, but a part of me really wants to attend Greek services and hear real Byzantine chant in person.  Decisions, decisions!

You are a lucky guy.

I have now a month left to choose what to study and cannot make my mind. There are so many of them and I have hardly any idea what are they like (brief infos do not say me much).

Yes I am!  But just to be clear, I am not totally finished with my Master's degree or anything.  I still have one year of classes remaining before I am forced to reenter the work force with a useless degree (M.A. in Religious Studies from a secular institution).  But I am done doing anything productive for the next several months!

You will not go wrong with either choice.  I myself, am going to plan trips to both places.  I know people that have gone to Arizona and I am told that it is extremely edifying to arrange a meeting with Elder Ephraim.

God bless you on your pilgrimage!
