Given all the interest in the persecuted Russain Church (ROAC) recently, here are a few ROAC related webpages that you may find interesting.  The Roac in pictures one is absolutely fantastic (if a bit slow to load) as is the St. Basil of Kinesthema webpage designed by Nik.

Joe, I gather from the links that the ROAC is identical with the schismatic so-called "Suzdalite" sect, whose members are disparagingly referred to as "Suzies" by some.  Is this correct?

By what canonical authority have the Suzdalites canonized ROCOR's Metropolitan Philaret?  Metropolitan Philaret always remained with the ROCOR, yet the ROCOR has not canonized him (that doesn't mean it won't some day, however).

I doubt that Metropolitan Philaret would have approved of the HOCNA or ROAC schisms from the ROCOR, nor would he have blessed the idea of schismatics (HOCNA and ROAC) from the ROCOR canonizing him.  How is the ROAC different from the ROCiE, btw?  Is the ROAC in schism from the ROCiE too?

Hypo, I've never heard of the group to wich you refer, but I would think they might be the same.

ROAC is an outgrowth of ROCOR.

When in the second site I founded a link explaining "ROAC Apostolc Succession" I knew this was a bad sign. This group, as you might know, is not in communion with any Canonical Church, directly or indirectly.

I the mid 90's two ROCOR Bishops in Russia had a problem with Met. Vitaly and ordained three Bishops in opposition to him. Then those who consacrated the Bishops were incredibly received back in ROCOR, but one of the newly consacrated ones, Bishop Valentine continued the schism and founded his own jurisdiction.

Bishop valentine was in great standing with the Soviet state and MP until his consacration. Regarding Patriarch Alexis, he said:

"he just wants to open business, sell liquor, deal with oil, and do other things to get money"

and that would explain the MP selling vodka and cigarettes right?

that is not the history of ROAC as I have heard it (from both within and without roac).
