I have a friend, another local blogger, and a disaffected Catholic. He's shipping out to Iraq on 4/7 (prayers), and wanted to go to church before he left, so I took him to Presanctified last night. He was moved to the gift of tears, and wants to go back and talk to the priest after he returns.

I told father he may have yet another catechumen on his hands in six months.

Lord have mercy on your friend.

I always enjoy hearing stories about how people are moved to faith from just coming to the Liturgy.  It also reminds me that no matter how irritated I may become whenever a priest or a fellow chanter misses a rubric, that the Liturgy is still prayerful and can cause a stirring in the heart for God.

If he is really interested I would send him some Death to the World issues and back issues. It is a nice sampling of various church fathers and mothers.
