Dear Friends,
I have experienced intermittent abdominal pains 5 times during the month of March due to what I suspect is stress from: a pending divorce case, operating a fraternal men's order chapter and preparing for the upcoming District Convention for said fraternal men's order.
I see the doctor later today at 9:30 AM. Pray that the Lord grant me strength and conviction to overcome these 3 obstacles in good health. Amen!

Update: First, I would like to thank everyone for his/her prayers and well wishes. I am having a Gallbladder Sonogram on Thursday morning just to (hopefully) rule out gallbladder issues. I have been feeling better today although things are likely to be day to day until the middle of May. May the Lord Bless you and watch over you. All of you are in my prayers. Amen!

Excellence of character, then, is a state concerned with choice, lying in a mean relative to us, this being determined by reason and in the way in which the man of practical wisdom would determine it. Now it is a mean between two vices, that which depends on excess and that which depends on defect.

Update: Today, I saw my doctor as a follow-up to the gallbladder sonogram. I have a minor gallbladder infection, cholecystitis, and the doctor suggested a follow-up sonogram in 6 months. I was told to lose weight and cut back on fatty foods; I have not experienced pains in 4 days although foods like peanut butter triggered my symptoms. I don't like the idea of surgery; However, I don't think I need surgery anytime soon. Thank you for your prayers and kind wishes. May God Bless all of you. In Christ, SolEX01

In Christ, SolEX01 I hope gallbladder infection doesn't mean gallstone, since those can be very painful. (It's been almost a year since I underwent a cholecystectomy to remove my problem.) Lord, have mercy!

Lord, have mercy! Christ is Risen! I became a member of the cholecystectomy club on Monday the 12th. Took 20 hours of unrelenting pain (aka biliary colic) to make the ER visit. Missed out on Holy Week due to recuperation and recovery. Truly He is Risen!
