I have rebooted the server. I wonder if this will help. Please let me know if this problem continues.

Sheesh. I thought I had flushed them. Let me try something else.

Have people been receiving notifications since November or December?

I have taken an action which I believe will erase all topic reply notifications completely. We'll see...

So you did not get any notifications during, for instance, the month of February?

Lol, there were a few from March, even one from October! I didn't read all, I thought they were sent chronologically.

No, I am asking if during the previous months, did you ever get a notification?  Or did you never receive one, and now you have received them all at once?

What I am trying to establish is if anyone ever received any notifications the past few months.

I received no notifications over the past several months. All of them showed up yesterday and today.
Oh, and I'm not complaining, just thought you would want to know!

No, I am glad you reported it. Did anyone else ever report this problem of not getting notifications, and I just missed it?

I just received a late email (from months back).  Sorry, Cleaveland.

There is a cache (backlog) somewhere that I have tried numerous ways to disable. Unfortunately, it is proving difficult to track down. Our server can only send out 1000 emails a day. So for the past 3 days it has been trying to send out these backloged notifications in batches until it hits the limit. Then it freezes, and starts over again the next day. So it may take another day or two for the settings I have implemented to take place. I don't know where in the server the backlog is, or I would try to delete it manually. I am looking...

I simply deleted the notification table in the database, but this means when users try to unsubscribe from notifications, they get an error.

Sorry for the inconvenience. I am trying to figure this one out as best as I can but it is a nebulous problem not mentioned on the support forums I have checked.
