The Holy Episcopal Synod of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church (India), Catholicate of the East held on 23-27, February 2009 resolved to recognize the status of the Archdiocese of Syrian Orthodox Church in Europe, in communion with the Church. His Holiness Moran Mor Baselius Marthoma Didymus I, Catholicos of the East and Malankara Metropolitan issues circular accepting the status of H.E. Mor Severius Mushe Görgün Archbishop of the Syrian Archdiocese of Europe.
