Dear All,
I would sincerely appreciate your prayers for my mother.
My mother has been recently diagnosed with Diabetes in December 2008. This Wednesday, we take her to the eye doctor to see if the sugars has gone down and no retina damage.
Do we have a special prayer for eyes?
Thank you in advance for your prayers, love and support.

My little Ukrainian handbook of saints and diseases says that to seek help for those who have illnesses of eyes, we should pary to the Most Holy Theotokos, to St. Nicholas, Stt. unmercenaries-healers Cosmas and Damian, St. Basil the Fool-for-Christ, St. Pantheleimon, St. Martyr Vavrentius of Rome, Stt. Gurij and Varsonofij (wonder-workers of the Tatar/Russian city of Kazan), Great Martyr St. Demetrios of Thessaloniki, St. Volodymyr Equal-to-the-Apostles, St. Martyr Minas, and St. Eudocia.

Lord Have Mercy, Thank God;
Thank you for your prayers, they have been answered!
Today we went to the eye doctor.
The eye doctor says my mom's eyes have improved 100%. Only small sugar left in her right eye and should clear in three months. Her blood sugar is also a normal average for the past three months. All good.
I passed the saints and prayers that has been recommended to my mother and she has been saying the prayers each day.
