What are most common non-Paschal religious salutations? For example what do you say to your Priests? I suppose it's not Good morning!

In English I would say: Glory to Jesus Christ!

A big cultural difference between Americans (and to a lesser extent other Anglophone nations) is that we tend to be much less formal than other languages / cultures. Thus "Good morning" is an entirely acceptable way to greet a priest (or in any formal situation).

Sława Isusu Chrystu! is the most popular form. But all depends on who is the Priest, who is the saluting person and what are the relations between them.

Actually, it is "Good Day!". Even when he's distributing the Antidoron our Priest will greet each of us individually by name this way, and we respond with "Good Day Father!". If you think about it, "Good Day" is actually a blessing. |
