ok........on a more serious note, does anyone have any good recommendations?  While we should avoid media during Lent, in my situation, I DO NOT HAVE CABLE, and thus do not watch TV.  I receive ONE NetFlix movie at a time, and my queue only has a few in it at the moment.

I've already seen:
The Mission
Into Great Silence
Ostrov
The Deer Hunter

Thanks.

I watch the Director's cut of The Passion of the Christ...in quiet by myself

By the way, Mel is the one nailing (his arm swinging the hammer and holding the nail) the Lord to the Holy Cross...

Every Lent I make an effort to try and watch The Gospel According to St. Matthew (Il Vangelo secondo Matteo).  The director is, er, controversial at best  Tongue, but I still find this to be an incredibly moving film.

There's a thread by Robert, with the title all in caps and at the top of the page, that says not to post in the board where you posted this.  Please abide by that in the future.
