^^ I like it. For colours, the backgroudn and beautiful epitrachelion. I don't know if th eagle, symolising America, is neccesary, but maybe it highlights the saint's missionary work in this particular land.

This reminds me of Westboro reading prophecies regarding God comparing Edom to an eagle as scriptural proof of his hate for America.

I agree, the eagle is strange, though, since St. innocent is typically shown in episcopal vestments or with white klobuk.  Hieromonk Silouan (Justiniano) has a very beautiful hand at painting....this one just struck me as odd with the saint holding an eagle.

Frankly speaking, I don't know if it should be considered "an Orthodox art" or "an icon" (not counting the Arabic text, as it's ofc added on computer on already existing icon).

As long as it's not Sam the Eagle, I suppose it's fine.

I'm not going to be posting as much on OC.Net as before. I might stop in once in a while though. But I've come to realize that real life is more important.

Icon of the Battle of Kosovo

According to the old calendar today it's the commemoration of this battle (st. Vitus day - Vidovdan) and st. Lazar that on thi day symbolically (for the next Serbian generations) chose the Heavenly Kingdom instead of the Earth one.

Also, in a normal pregnancy, the middle of the second trimester is usually the time when one has low blood pressure.

It almost certainly is. I personally really like it. But I'm not sure how to feel about the background. It seems like it disqualifies its use as an icon.

Seems to be Serbian (at least to some extend) as I can see Kalemegdan and st. Michael cathedral in Belgrade... And Christ with sword and in an orange tunic is the same One as depicted in monastery Visoki Dečani in Serbian Kosovo.

Not an icon, but definitely a strange representation of Sts. Cyril and Methodius.

Yes, two heads in one body, probably due to the togetherness both saints had, the way they were inseparable, etc. I wonder if there are actual icons using this resource.

That "flacon" is actually a bottle of manna, or so I've read, and the icon of the Theotokos over it represents that she born the true Manna from Heaven. An idea similar to how icons of the Virgin of the Sign are placed over the unburnt bush in icons of Moses.
